Elease Fogle Simmons answered her eternal call peacefully on Wednesday, February 25,2026 early in the morning.
Elease was born in Bowman, SC to the late Issac Fogle and Victoria Glover Fogle. She was virtuous woman who lived her best life serving others. Her contagious smile brought joy and laughter to everyone alike and had no color barrier. She was an instrument of God and lived life pleasing to her Lord and Savior.
Elease was a graduate of Bethune- Bowman class of 1974. She was a member of Mt. Olive AME Church and attended on a regular basis in effort to learn about God. She never ceases to tell everyone about the love of Jesus. She later joined Antioch Baptist Church and was baptized. She made herself no stranger and immediately starting serving. She a member of the Gospel Choir and the Culinary Ministry.
Elease was joined in holy matrimony to Henry Clay Simmons in June 1974. From this union three children were born. They were married for over 50years. She loved her family and took much pride in caring for and providing the love and attention that each child needed. They also had three grandchildren in their constant care, and one with temporary guardianship. She loved baking cakes and sharing them with friends and family. She was loved by all who knew her and was always ready to help out in any way possible.
She was preceded in death by her parents Issac Fogle and Victoria Glover; siblings: Catherine Johnson, Sampson Fogle, John Henry Fogle, Ella Mae Dowling, Eisenhower “Junior” Fogle, Mary Francis Fogle, great-grandmother: Beulah Canady, mother-in-love: Lauca Mae Simmons, father-in-love: Henry Clay “Bay” Simmons, brother-in-love: Malcolm Simmons, sister-in-love: Patricia Simmons and one grandson: Christopher Tyrek Simmons.
Elease memories will be forever cherished by her loving husband: Henry Simmons, her children: Juanita, Eric and Henry III, 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, sisters: Jessie Mae Fogle and Betty Jean Hameen, brother: Leroy Fogle, brothers-in-law: Hercules (Carolyn) and Larry (Shirley Ann) Starks, sister-in-laws: Joanna Owens, Earnestine (Kenneth) Gaines, Laura Fogle, Beulah Mack and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Service would proceed as follows: Viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1pm to 6pm.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Antioch Baptist Church , 7640 Charleston Hwy. Bowman, SC 29018 at 11am.
